Room was clean and beautifully decorated.
I was shocked to find the parking fee was not mentioned until check-in. $16 a night for parking is outrageous! The remote for the TV was broken upon arrival, creating additional hassle. When I reported it, the staff provided batteries, but it still didn't work. Having to walk downstairs again to request a whole new remote was incredibly frustrating.

Had a fantastic time with friends! We loved visiting the local breweries and checking out the downtown shops. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location made it easy to explore. Plus, the breakfast was really good—definitely a highlight. Would recommend for a fun group trip!
Our remote wasn't working on arrival, which was a bummer, but the staff were quick to help us out. A little frustrating, but they made it right in the end.

The Hampton Inn offered a clean and modern environment with friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure comfort. My room was spacious, featuring two comfortable beds and plenty of outlets for charging devices. The indoor pool and whirlpool were well-maintained, and the checkout time of noon allowed for a relaxed departure.
Breakfast options were limited and no on-site restaurant.

The fitness center offers a spacious setup with modern machines and free weights, perfect for staying in shape during your travels. A covered parking garage conveniently shields your vehicle from Michigan's unpredictable weather, which is a real bonus.
During my stay, I encountered quite a few hiccups. The breakfast options could definitely use more variety. while they provided the basics, it still felt limited. One night, the air conditioning malfunctioned, making the room uncomfortably warm. Also, the elevator situation was subpar, with one out of order during my visit, leading to long waits. Lastly, the noise level was unexpectedly noticeable at times—definitely something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper.

perfectly situated near parks and cultural hotspots
I had a great time exploring the nearby Frederik Meijer Botanic Gardens and Sculpture Park, just a short drive from the hotel, and enjoyed walking to the Grand Rapids Art Museum, which was only a pleasant stroll away. the breakfast buffet was a nice start to each day, providing plenty of delicious options to fuel my adventures. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the comfortable room that made returning after a long day of exploring feel cozy and welcoming, but the barn door style on the bathroom could use some improvement for more privacy.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Grand Rapids for a concert, and I really loved the decor and spacious layout of the hotel. The beds were super comfortable, which made for a great night's sleep. The staff impressed me with their warm welcome. they were always friendly and accommodating. I accidentally left my jacket in the room, and the front desk offered to hold it for me until I returned, which was a nice touch. The breakfast spread had a lot of options, but I think some more variety would improve it even further. One issue I faced was the parking situation. I wasn't informed about the additional parking fee until check-in, which felt a bit inconvenient. Also, the sliding barn door for the bathroom lacked privacy, which was an unexpected downside. I appreciated the cleanliness throughout the hotel, but the noise from outside was noticeable and a bit distracting at times. Despite some minor inconveniences, the overall experience was enjoyable and I would consider staying again.

Our stay here exceeded expectations with spacious rooms and an excellent dinner referral from the front desk. The walk-in shower felt luxurious! I recommend asking for dining suggestions as they have great local insights. Just be prepared for a bit of a maze finding the entrance.
